Want GEN2 on the wall? GEN2 Wall Mount – Lite is the easiest way to mount your GEN2 Modular System to nearly any vertical surface. It’s designed to stay simple while unlocking a whole new set of layouts beyond under-table and table-top setups.
Use it to create wall cubbies, install Tilt Drawers, and add quick-access storage anywhere, ideal for a workbench or hobby area, but just as handy in pantries, laundry rooms, closets, and home offices when you want clean organization beyond the garage.
Wall Mount - Lite is a strong wall storage solution that can handle real hardware like screws, bolts, and threaded inserts, but it’s just as useful around the home for organizing everyday items and eliminating the classic “junk drawer.” And because GEN2 is fully modular, you can rearrange, expand, or move your setup to a new location anytime.
And just like the rest of GEN2, it’s fully customizable: choose Decor Drawers for swappable faceplates and labels, or keep it simple with Classic Drawers for a clean, single-piece print.

TOOLS
GEN2 Wall Mount - Lite - Drill Hole Template - 3W
• Install both L & R GEN2 QuickLocks into the GEN2 cases
• (Optional) Install Magnet Clips with magnet into case if using along with a drawer for magnet pull when closing.
• (Optional) Install Drawer Stoppers in the bottom front of the case, these prevent the drawer below from being pulled out all.
• Slide the Screw Hole Cover in through the bottom slot of the drawer, Not that the arrow should point towards the front of the drawer and the "BOTTOM" text should be facing the bottom side of the drawer.
• Continue from the top side guiding the cover in until it fully snaps in place.
TIP: You don't have to drill every hole, you can use the GEN2 cases as a guide, for instance I'm installing a drawer that is 2W and 1W it's right I will mark two holes along the topmost row
TIP: If possible screwing into any wall studs will always provide the most secure mount. If installing into drywall you can use anchors or install a solid surface such as plywood over the wall.
TIP: The bottom row of the Drill Template is only for the securing screw hole and should only be used if you want to mark a whole to permanently secure the cases.
• (Optional) Pre-drill screw holes with a slightly smaller drill bit than the wood screw. Install wall anchors if needed.
• Install #6 or #8 woodscrews into their desired locations. Don't fully tighten the screws yet.
TIP: Test fit the empty GEN2 Cases on the wood screws. Screws should allow the case to slide in place and hang without being too loose. Loosen or tighten the screws using a hand screw driver.
• GEN2 covers consist of two layers, Cover-Uppers and Cover-Lowers. By staggering these layers you can extend their width beyond the limits of your print bed.
• In this tutorial we are assembling a cover that will total in 3W units. We will assemble the 2W and 1W parts as laid out in the image to achieve this.
• Install a M3 hex nut into the hex slot on the back underside of the Cover-Lower parts.
TIP: Use a slightly longer screw such as an M3-8 to pull the nut into place flush with the surface.
• (Optional) Install drawer stoppers into the Cover-Lowers, if installing drawers these prevent them from being pulled all the way out.
• Slide the Cover uppers into position like shown in the image. Use an M3-6 screw to lock the Cover-Upper to the Cover-Lower. Repeat this assembly for the remaining parts.
• The cover should now be assembled as shown totaling 3W units.
TIP: You can always add onto this width at any time.
• Slide the drawers into the rail slots of the case as shown.
• Simply slide the GEN2 cases onto the screws we installed earlier. You can now add GEN2 drawers, Tilt drawers, or convert them into cubbies to act as shelves.
• Congratulations! You now have wall mounted GEN2 storage, you can add to or rearrange at any time!
TIP: You can always add more screws into any lower drawers if desired, this may be useful for very tall or uneven walls.
